چکیده
Fatigue crack growth assessment of 2024-T3 aluminum alloy is carried out on the basis a recently developed peridynamic fatigue model. The governing remaining-life equation model has been solved by two different approaches i.e. numerical and analytical to perform fatigue-crack simulations for specimen with pre-existing crack. Remaining-life parameters solution are determined calibrating experimental data. predictions, associated material deformation under various loading conditions simulated approaches. Predicted results show that approach shortcomings in accurate predictions rates application conditions, while can be applied wide range good prediction accuracy stable growing Furthermore, it found computational time considerably shorter comparison approach.

Modeling of Corrosion-Fatigue Crack Growth Rate Based on Least Square Support Vector Machine Technique
Understanding crack growth behavior in engineering components subjected to cyclic fatigue loadings is necessary for design and maintenance purpose. Fatigue crack growth (FCG) rate strongly depends on the applied loading characteristics in a nonlinear manner, and when the mechanical loadings combine with environmental attacks, this dependency will be more complicated. Since, the experimental inv...
متن کاملa study on rate making and required reserves determination in reinsurance market: a simulation
reinsurance is widely recognized as an important instrument in the capital management of an insurance company as well as its risk management tool. this thesis is intended to determine premium rates for different types of reinsurance policies. also, given the fact that the reinsurance coverage of every company depends upon its reserves, so different types of reserves and the method of their calc...
A cohesive model of fatigue crack growth
We investigate the use of cohesive theories of fracture, in conjunction with the explicit resolution of the near-tip plastic fields and the enforcement of closure as a contact constraint, for the purpose of fatiguelife prediction. An important characteristic of the cohesive laws considered here is that they exhibit unloadingreloading hysteresis. This feature has the important consequence of pre...
متن کاملA comparison between numerical and analytical modeling of ECAP
Recent developments in nanostructured products draw considerable attention to ultrafine grained materials. These materials are normally manufactured by different severe plastic deformation (SPD) methods. In the present study, analytical models and finite element method (FEM) are used to calculate strain imposed to a specimen that was deformed by equal channel angular pressing (ECAP). In additio...
متن کاملModeling and simulation of intersonic crack growth
Intersonic crack growth has been studied using an interfacial fracture model in which an additional material phase within a bonding layer is proposed to describe the failure behavior of the interface. In this material phase, a strain gradient based damage model is applied with a built-in cohesive law, which is governed by an material intrinsic length scale that bridges the mechanisms that opera...
